So sorry I wasn’t able to make this session of Pitch in the Zone! I have a few comments from an investor point of view:
1) Relate a story to the potential addressable market. This always gets investors excited. “…this extended flight time not only provides our clients with the capability to keep UAV’s in the air longer while protecting troops as well as to increase the delivery range for commercial drones for companies like FexEx, UPS, DHL, and Amazon which could offer them a significant commercial efficiency over traditional batteries.”
2) Agree with the other comments on the “team” slide. It looked more like a “partner” slide. If you truly have a team, mention them while you’re “humble bragging” on your own experience.
3) Include a reference object (iPhone, basketball, etc.) that people understand in the diagram of the turbine.
4) If you’re doing an investor pitch, focus on the potential business model (selling the turbines, licensing the IP, etc.) and the financial models. If there is an ask for funding, it’s important to know what the money will be used for and when the returns would be coming back to an investor.
5) Agree with the others on your vocal tone and comfort level in delivery. Great job!
